Welcome to my official page! I'm Alex Martin, the author of the New Adult Science-fiction novel, Embassy. If you've read the book, thanks! If not, I encourage you to buy it. Even if you're not into astronomy and science-fiction-esque stuff, you'll enjoy it! And many people have told me that reading Embassy piqued their interest in learning about space exploration, so maybe it'll do the same to you!

I'm hard at work on the sequel. There will be four books in the main series, and I might write a supplemental novella to tie the series neatly together.

Embassy is already available on Amazon as a Kindle ebook for $2.99, and the official paperback release will be on October 10, 2014. So add it to your Goodreads lists, and be sure to follow me on Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, or Twitter so you'll know when it's available!
As for me, I'm 21 years old and live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, right downtown in the city! I love it here and want to keep living here for a long time. But I also have this unfulfilled dream of traveling the world. I've traveled across the USA many times, but I've never been overseas.

I love astronomy and anything to do with space exploration. Weirdly enough, I don't read much in way of science-fiction. I'm more of a popular fantasy and contemporary person. I love science-fiction movies, though.

Embassy takes place in an ultra-realistic future. This is how I foresee humanity's future. The societies, the technology, the planets... I wanted to create a world where technology gave us the ability to travel the galaxy, but every civilization we form starts from Square One.

As for the characters, these aren't your rag-tag team of heroes who save the galaxy from evil aliens and black holes. The characters I created are pure and simple: people. No special powers. No chosen one. It all comes back to the type of story I want to tell: that, even in the future, people will always be human. So I strove to convey a realistic sense of humanity. This continues into the sequel, where the central plot really begins to unfold.

I hope you're interested in Embassy, Book 1 of the Recovery Cycle. If so, you can find it on Amazon HERE. Keep checking back for updates, and thank you for visiting!
